We are an English couple who fell in love with Bulgaria, especially this gorgeous area on the west side, and decided to create a luxurious home from home for people to enjoy being here as much as we do.
Your holiday experience is our priority, and we will do everything we can to help make your visit perfect! We are on hand to guide you to the best locations for sightseeing; restaurants for all tastes and budgets; areas for total relaxation; or if you prefer something a bit more action packed. There are plenty of cycling and hiking trails, and adrenaline activities in the warmer months, and ski slopes within a short drive for the winter season. We can help make it happen for you!

Mountain View Lodge is unique in its combination of hotel amenities and guest house comfort. It offers both self-catering accommodation with kitchens and BBQs, as well as spacious living and dining areas, and a 24-hour reception ensures convenience at all times. Here you will find the best of all worlds – the freedom to prepare your own meals, the luxury of hotel service and the personal touch of a bed and breakfast. You can enjoy the comfort of a private room with a private bathroom, choose the luxurious top-floor apartment or even book the entire place for an exclusive group getaway. All accommodation features a private bathroom, free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, blackout curtains, high-quality linens. If you have a style preference or would like additional adjustments, let us know!
MOUNTAIN VIEW LODGE
Set over two floors and able to sleep up to sixteen people, Mountain View Lodge as a whole makes for a truly exceptional group or extended family experience.
Combining luxury rooms and ensuite privacy with beautiful communal areas and fully equipped kitchen (including large modern oven, dishwasher, a washing machine and a dryer on the ground floor). Upstairs there is another kitchen which includes a microwave, 2 ring electric hob & fridge.
There are several fire-pit BBQs, decking areas, a large sun-terrace and a jacuzzi, all surrounded by beautiful scenery.
With underfloor heating and a large open fireplace in the heart of the house plus stunning vistas for every season, it is a perfect place to stay whatever the weather. View all the things to see and do above, as well as where to eat out and how to shop for groceries and you will see that the Lodge is the perfect Indoors and Outdoors experience combined.
With easy access from the highway but secluded and off the beaten track, the Lodge is a perfect base to explore the delights close by or just stay in, relax and enjoy the views or adventure a bit further for some great activities and days out.
If you are not renting the apartment or whole lodge, we provide a delicious breakfast for all guests renting the luxury ensuite rooms below.
Yabulka (Apple) Room
Wake up to a beautiful sunrise in this light, quiet adaptable room with views of the lovely meadows where horses often graze, surrounded by the scenic mountains as a backdrop. Available as a double bed room, Yabŭlka is a stylish, private space with a private bathroom and luxurious bed linens.
Dyulya (Quince) Room
This spacious and light Double bedroom with ensuite bathroom features its own lovely decking area and fire pit BBQ accessed through large double doors that open onto views of the surrounding meadow, mountains and some traditional Bulgarian country houses. It also opens onto spacious living and dining area and kitchen.
Vishna(Cherry) Room
Vishna is our spacious deluxe King Room with ensuite bathroom, also with its own lovely decking area and fire pit BBQ accessed through large double doors that open onto views of the surrounding meadow, mountains and some traditional Bulgarian country houses. It also leads to the living room, closest to the open fireplace.
All the above rooms have fully equipped kitchen access and living and dining spaces for self-catering, as well as hot and cold breakfasts served daily
THE WISHING WELL APARTMENT
Wishing Well is a stunning two bedroom (plus lounge sofa bed) fully self-contained apartment taking up the whole top floor of the lodge. Beautifully furnished with large open spaces and wide concertina folding doors opening onto magnificent views and a lovely full-length sun terrace and Jacuzzi (at a minimal cost of 100 euros per booking).
The luxury apartment has its own private outside entrance, lovely kitchen, living and dining areas.
The Wishing Well apartment has a Master bedroom with a king bed and two single beds, sleeping up to four people plus an en-suite luxury bathroom, a light and stylish double bedroom that sleeps two and the lounge has a double sofa bed. Bringing the number of guests that can enjoy the apartment together to eight people.
It works just as beautifully as a couple's private, luxury retreat or for a smaller family's outstanding holiday.

The perfect location
We are situated, in the lush valley of Kyustendil, known as the Orchard of Bulgaria, by the pretty Bistritza river. Our location is ideal for all outdoor activities with hiking, climbing, cycling all on our doorstep and, with the Northern slopes of the Osogovo Mountain a short drive away, winter is covered for skiing and snowboarding without the queues of the larger resorts. We are also close to the border point with Macedonia, meaning you can hop over for the day to explore this beautiful country during your stay with us
The climate in Kyustendil is traditionally continental with Mediterranean influence. The mild weather is largely due to the beneficial effect of the mountains that surround us from the north, east and west.
Kyustendil is easily reached from the Skopje-Sofia and Nis-Bosilegrad-Kyustendil highways, and the Sofia-Radomir-Gyueshevo railroads cross the region. The town is also a main stop on the line Sofia – Kyustendil – Gyueshevo.
Since ancient times, the mineral waters of the numerous fountains, natural springs, wells and spas found in Kyustendil have been world-famous for their curative properties and many people visit the area just for these.
The favourable climate, magic mineral waters, sumptuous fruit and lush vin-yards, attract many Bulgarian and foreign visitors to Kyustendil.
Why West Bulgaria
East Bulgaria is considered more a tourist destination but Kyustendil, West Bulgaria is a hidden gem. As the travel guides say:

Nestled at the foot of Osogovo Mountain, Kyustendil is known for its waters since ancient times.
